Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is located in North of Tanzania with an estimate of (8288 sq km). It is one of the most famous areas visited ever in Africa.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a protected area and a World Heritage Site located 154 km west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The area is named after Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area.
The crater is also home to a few black rhinoceros, visiting the crater on your safari in the northern Tanzania will maximize your chances of seeing these shy, large mammals.
In Ngorongoro there is Olduvai gorge which might be of interest to stop by as you are on your way to/from Serengeti National Park. It is one of the most important paleonthropological (the study of ancient humans) site in the world.
